Ingredients

For the Crust:

•1 package (2 tubes) crescent roll dough

•½ cup unsalted butter, melted

•¼ cup sugar

•1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Cream Cheese Filling:

•2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened

•¾ cup sugar

•1 tbsp lemon zest

•2 tbsp lemon juice

•1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Topping:

•¼ cup sugar

•1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

•Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

 

Instructions

Prepare the Crust:

1.Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

2.Roll out one tube of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the baking dish, sealing any seams.

Make the Filling:

3.In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

4.Spread the filling evenly over the crust.

Top & Bake:

5.Roll out the second tube of crescent dough and carefully place it over the filling, sealing the edges.

6.Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar (and cinnamon, if using).

7.Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Cool & Serve:

8.Let cool completely before slicing into bars. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.

9.Serve chilled or at room temperature and enjoy!

•Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

•Freeze for up to 3 months; thaw in the fridge before serving.

•For extra lemon flavor, increase the lemon juice to 3 tbsp.
