Ingredients

900 g lean ground beef

30 Ritz crackers, crushed

240 ml ketchup (plus extra for topping)

1 egg

1 small onion, finely diced

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

3 cups prepared macaroni and cheese (thick and creamy)

1 cup shredded cheddar

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a loaf pan with parchment or lightly grease.

In a bowl mix ground beef, crushed crackers, 240 ml ketchup, egg, onion, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until combined.

Press half the meat mixture into the loaf pan.

Spread macaroni and cheese evenly on top. Sprinkle cheddar over the pasta.

Cover with remaining meat mixture, sealing edges well.

Spread a thin layer of ketchup over the top.

Bake 55–70 minutes, until cooked through and top is caramelized.

Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy warm.
