Instructions

To Make the Salisbury Steak

In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into oval patties. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown patties on both sides. Remove and set aside.

To Make the Gravy

In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onions until softened. Stir in flour and cook for 1–2 minutes. Gradually whisk in beef broth and simmer until thickened. Return patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10–15 minutes until cooked through.

To Make the Mashed Potatoes

Boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash with butter and milk until smooth. Season with salt.

To Make the Green Beans

Steam or boil green beans until tender-crisp, about 5–7 minutes. Toss with butter, salt, and pepper. Serve alongside Salisbury steak and mashed potatoes, spooning gravy generously over the top.
