
Ingredients
Brownie Base
1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on box – usually eggs, oil, and water)
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional, for richer flavor)
Cheesecake Layer
16 oz cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup sour cream
Topping
1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Sea salt flakes (optional, for a salted caramel twist)
Directions
Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper
Prepare brownie mix according to package instructions, stir in vanilla extract if using, then pour into the prepared pan and bake for about 20–25 minutes—just until set but not fully baked. Remove from oven and let cool slightly
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Mix in vanilla and sour cream until fully combined
Pour cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer and smooth the top. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly
Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake rest inside with the door slightly open for 1 hour. Then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight
Before serving, drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with nuts and sea salt if desired
