Ingredients
1 pound breakfast sausage
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
- Reduce the heat to low and add the softened cream cheese to the skillet. Stir until the cream cheese melts and combines with the sausage.
- Remove the mixture from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese if using.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
- Spoon a small amount of the sausage mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll the dough up from the wide end to the tip, forming crescent rolls.
- Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
