Homestyle Beefaroni
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound ground beef
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 cups marinara sauce
2 cups water
2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
Prepare the Ingredients: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until softened, about 5 minutes.
Cook the Beef: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef. Cook until browned and no longer pink, breaking it apart with a spoon. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Combine Sauces and Pasta: Stir in the marinara sauce and water, bringing the mixture to a simmer. Add the uncooked elbow macaroni, stirring to combine.
Simmer and Cook: Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to low. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the macaroni is tender, about 15 minutes.
Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the beefaroni. Cover and cook until the cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.
