Stuffed Seafood Bread Bowl

Ingredients:

For the Bread Bowl:

•1 large round sourdough or French bread loaf

•2 tbsp butter, melted

•1 tsp garlic powder

For the Seafood Filling:

•1 tbsp olive oil

•½ cup onion, diced

•½ cup bell pepper, diced

•2 cloves garlic, minced

•½ lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped

•½ lb lump crab meat

•½ cup cooked crawfish tails (optional)

•½ tsp Old Bay seasoning

•¼ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

•Salt and black pepper to taste

•½ cup heavy cream

•½ cup cream cheese, softened

•1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

•½ cup shredded parmesan cheese

•1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

•1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Bread Bowl:

•Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

•Cut the top off the bread loaf and hollow out the center, leaving a thick shell.

•Brush the inside with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder.

•Bake for 10 minutes until slightly toasted.

2. Make the Seafood Filling:

•Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic until soft.

•Add shrimp, crab, and crawfish. Season with Old Bay, cayenne, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until shrimp turn pink.

•Stir in heavy cream, cream cheese, mozzarella, and parmesan. Mix until smooth and creamy.

•Add lemon juice and parsley. Remove from heat.

3. Assemble and Bake:

•Pour the seafood mixture into the bread bowl. Sprinkle extra mozzarella on top.

•Bake for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

4. Serve:

•Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm. Enjoy with crackers or toasted bread slices!
