Prepare your ceramic/ glass 8x8x2-inch dish by spraying it with nonstick spray.
Combine the diced apples with sugar, cinnamon, corn starch and nutmeg in a bowl.
Slice the cinnamon rolls into ¼-inch slices and spread it thin over a surface that is floured. (Dust the top of the dough with flour so that it does not stick).
Spread the flattened cinnamon roll at the bottom and sides of the prepared dish. Press with your hands to seal the rolls.
Spread half of the apple filling over the flattened dough.
Sprinkle 2 to 3 tbsps. of caramel sauce on top.
Place another flattened cinnamon roll dough over it.
Spread evenly the rest of the apple filling and drizzle 2 to 3 tbsps. of caramel sauce.
Cover with the last flattened cinnamon roll dough.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and place it in the oven to cook for 30 minutes.
Remove the aluminum foil and bake the dish for another 10 to 15 minutes. The top should be golden brown.
Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for at least half an hour.
Drizzle the icing that came with the cinnamon rolls.
Slice, serve and enjoy!

Notes:

For apples, you can use Granny Smith or Golden Delicious.
You can use 7 x 9 x 2 inch ceramic dish instead of the 8x8x2-inch dish.
You can also use salted caramel sauce instead of a regular one.
I used store-bought caramel sauce.
