DEEP FRIED MARSHMALLOWS

For your food content, this recipe is perfect for a dramatic pull-apart shot. Break one open slowly to show the melted marshmallow stretch inside.

Ingredients

20 large marshmallows

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup milk

1 egg

Oil for frying

Powdered sugar or chocolate sauce for topping

Instructions

Heat oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).

In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and egg, whisking until smooth. The batter should be thick enough to coat a marshmallow.

Working quickly, dip marshmallows into the batter, ensuring they are fully coated.

Carefully drop them into hot oil and fry 20–30 seconds per side until golden brown. Do not overcrowd.

Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate sauce. Serve immediately while warm.
