My husband, Mark, is a meat and potatoes man. He absolutely loves this fried potatoes and onions recipe! He will actually eat this as his main meal. It’s wonderful comfort food.
This is not the healthiest dish, although it is delicious. For the people who do not like them, the onion is optional. I make it for my family often and the restaurant I work at changed their recipe to this! Add diced tomatoes alongside the onion and garlic for a tasty addition.
You might be thinking that anything fried is a no-go. But pan frying is very different from deep frying. And check out the nutrition values – not too shabby 🙂 Good fiber, vitamin C and potassium. And low in calories and saturated fat.
