Ingredients
6 crispy tostada shells
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tablespoons homemade taco seasoning)
1 can (16 oz) refried beans
½ cup water
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup red enchilada or taco sauce
Instructions
In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease. Stir in taco seasoning and water, and simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened. In a small saucepan, warm refried beans over low heat until smooth and heated through. To assemble, spread a layer of warm refried beans on each tostada shell. Top with seasoned beef, drizzle with red sauce, then add shredded lettuce and cheese. Serve immediately while shells are crisp.
