Ingredients
1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 large eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, peanut butter, eggs, and vegetable oil.
- Stir until a thick dough forms and all ingredients are well combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
- Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Use a fork to gently press each ball, creating the classic crisscross pattern.
- Bake for 9–11 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
