Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)

1 cup creamy peanut butter

2 large eggs

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, peanut butter, eggs, and vegetable oil.
  3. Stir until a thick dough forms and all ingredients are well combined.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
  6. Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  7. Use a fork to gently press each ball, creating the classic crisscross pattern.
  8. Bake for 9–11 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
